Biotisine

Drug Interactions

While generally safe, high-dose biotics can alter drug absorption rates or be neutralized by concurrent medication use.

Medication Class Interaction Mechanism Action Required
Broad-Spectrum Antibiotics Direct destruction of the live LGG strain. Separate doses by at least 2 hours.
Immunosuppressants Theoretical risk of systemic infection (bacteremia) in severely compromised patients. Contraindicated without physician approval.
Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) Lowered gastric acid increases survival rate of the biotic, potentially intensifying the dose. Monitor for increased bloating; consider lowering dose.

When to Consult a Specialist

If you have a central venous catheter, short bowel syndrome, or a severely compromised immune system, high-CFU therapies carry unique risks. Always clear the Formulation with your gastroenterologist.
